Although almost completely absent of color, there is almost zero matrix. This allows this specimen to be transparent when hold up to any light source! Flower amethyst is a trade name for some amethyst specimens. Often this name refers to amethyst with a crystal growth that radiates outward to give the appearance of "flowers". The term is being used more often the describe lower grade
